GTA 6 casino: a lottery-picking dog, and GTA Online's Diamond
With 73 days to go before the November 19, 2026 release, no casino has been announced in GTA 6. The word appears in no Extended Look rundown, and a PEGI label will settle it before the game ships.

No casino has been announced in GTA 6 as of September 7, 2026. Neither of the two full rundowns of the August 27, 2026 Extended Look, published by VGC and ComicBook, contains casino, slot machine, blackjack or betting. The Diamond Casino & Resort opened in GTA Online on July 23, 2019 and was never reachable from GTA 5's story mode. GTA 6's PEGI sheet does not exist yet, and it will carry the Gambling label or it will not.
Is there a casino in GTA 6?
Rockstar Games has never mentioned a casino in GTA 6. Checked on September 7, 2026: VGC’s full rundown of the August 27, 2026 Extended Look and the 64 preview details ComicBook published on August 28 contain no casino, no slot machine, no blackjack, no roulette and no betting of any kind. Grand Theft Auto VI ships on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, 73 days from now, and the question has no official answer.
One element of chance did come out of the previews, and you do not play it. The pet dog picks winning lottery numbers, a detail IGN got from Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson on August 27, 2026 and Kotaku flagged the next day: “your dog (or someone else’s?) can correctly predict the winning lottery numbers somehow.” That is the whole of what GTA 6 has shown on the subject.
How will we know if GTA 6 has gambling before it ships?
PEGI defines its Gambling descriptor plainly: “Simulation of gambling, like games of chance that are normally carried out in casinos or gambling halls, will be classified with a PEGI 18.” A game that merely refers to the subject gets a PEGI 12. That pictogram is published before release, on the rating sheet, and it reads without touching the game.
The other board labels the same facts differently, and one title proves it. Taken from both public databases on September 7, 2026:
| Rating sheet | What it carries on gambling |
|---|---|
| GTA V, PEGI, March 15, 2022 | Violence, Bad language, Gambling, In-game purchases |
| GTA V, ESRB | Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Mature Humor, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs and Alcohol, no gambling descriptor |
| Red Dead Redemption 2, ESRB | Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Nudity, Sexual Content, Strong Language, Use of Drugs and Alcohol, no gambling descriptor |
The same game carries the Gambling pictogram at PEGI and nothing equivalent at the ESRB. So when GTA 6’s PEGI sheet lands, that one pictogram will be the first official signal on the question, and an ESRB sheet will not settle it. Neither database held a sheet for the game on September 7, 2026: an ESRB search for “Grand Theft Auto VI” returns only Vice City and Vice City Stories entries, which our piece on the missing rating goes through.
What was inside GTA Online’s Diamond Casino?
The Diamond Casino & Resort opened in GTA Online on Tuesday July 23, 2019: “The Diamond Casino & Resort opens for your enjoyment in the heart of Los Santos this Tuesday, July 23,” ran the announcement posted five days earlier on the PlayStation Blog. Inside were “Three Card Poker, Blackjack and Roulette,” slot machines, a virtual horse racing lounge called Inside Track, and a Lucky Wheel in the lobby that could hand over a Truffade Thrax supercar.
The turnout beat everything the game had seen. On August 1, 2019 PCGamesN wrote that the casino “drew the highest number of online players in both a single day and a single week since developer Rockstar released the game in 2013,” with no player figure released by the studio. Four days later Game Informer pulled from Take-Two’s earnings report a claim of “record player engagement levels in the daily, weekly, and monthly active user categories.”

That success came with a restriction from day one. GameRant reported on July 25, 2019 that chip purchases were blocked in more than 50 countries, among them China, Iceland, Cyprus, Poland, Argentina and Portugal: affected players walked in and hit an error message at the cashier. Seven years on, the list keeps growing. Around August 1, 2026, blackjack, roulette and Inside Track were switched off for Australian players, who now see “This feature is not available for you,” 7NEWS reports. Rockstar has explained nothing, and has not said whether GTA 6 is affected.
Could a single-player GTA 6 have a casino?
The Diamond never existed for anyone playing GTA 5’s story. “The short answer is no, Grand Theft Auto 5 single-player users can’t enter the Diamond Casino and Resort,” Screen Rant wrote on April 23, 2021. The casino was born inside GTA Online, six years after the game shipped, and it stayed there.
GTA 6 arrives without an online mode. Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement describes “a single-player experience,” and nothing since has changed that, as our piece on the missing multiplayer sets out. Rob Nelson also told Andy Cortez and Greg Miller of Kinda Funny on August 27, 2026 that there would be no microtransactions at launch and no buying in-game money with real money, per GameSpot’s report the same day.
A GTA 6 casino on November 19, 2026 could therefore only run on money earned in play, the kind that comes from theft, robbery and resale set out in our money guide. It would be a solo room, without the shared-world pull behind the record day of July 23, 2019. Nobody outside Rockstar North knows whether such a place sits on the Leonida map, or whether its tables ever open. The subject runs on the same logic as the playable stock market, equally absent from everything the studio has shown.
