GTA 6: who Jason Duval is, and the actor Rockstar has not named

Jason Duval is one of the two playable characters in GTA 6, alongside Lucia Caminos. Rockstar Games gave him his full name and his own character page on May 6, 2025, and has still not named the actor who voices him.

Jason Duval is one of the two playable characters in Grand Theft Auto VI, alongside Lucia Caminos. Rockstar Games put his character page online on May 6, 2025, the day the second trailer landed: a former Army soldier living in the Leonida Keys and working for the local drug runners. The game arrives November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The whole page runs to five lines. Rockstar opens on a tagline:

Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.

Then the biography:

Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.

The studio closes the page on Lucia: “Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him. Jason knows how he’d like it to turn out but right now, it’s hard to tell.” The two lines Rockstar puts in his mouth are shorter. “Another day in paradise, right?” and “If anything happens, I’m right behind you.”

A spelling note, because it keeps travelling the wrong way. Rockstar writes Jason Duval, one L. IGN used “Duvall” in its cover art breakdown of June 19, 2026, and NME used it on May 6, 2025, in the same piece that turned Lucia Caminos into “Lucia Camino”. The official copy settles it.

Who he owes favours to is written into the other character pages, not his own. Brian Heder, a drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys, lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties, “so long as he helps with local shakedowns, and stops by for Lori’s sangria once in a while.” Cal Hampton, the conspiracy theorist who stays home snooping on Coast Guard comms, is introduced as “Jason’s friend and a fellow associate of Brian’s.”

Three official outings, and what each one gave:

Where Date What it gave
Trailer 1 December 4, 2023 He is not named. Only Lucia is, by first name
Trailer 2 May 6, 2025 The video opens on him, up on his roof, shouting that he is “just fixing some leaks”
An Extended Look August 27, 2026 A slim jim car theft, a rooftop meeting with Brian Heder and Lori at Effluvia, bodyguard duty in a suit on the Megamundo job

What Rockstar has not said

No actor has been named for Jason Duval, or for any other character in the game. Nothing on the site, nothing in the Take-Two release of May 6, 2025, nothing across the 26 minutes and 48 seconds of An Extended Look. IGN asked and got a no: “Rockstar isn’t sharing its voice cast for GTA 6 just yet (we asked),” the site wrote on May 7, 2025. The names that have circulated since rest on IMDb credits, a database readers can edit themselves, as Vice pointed out on August 28, 2026.

His age and date of birth are missing too, as for the eight other people named across those pages. On the relationship with Lucia, there is an answer: it is optional, it carries no gameplay bonus, and the player cannot end it. “There’s no dumping your significant other,” Rachel Weber wrote for IGN on August 27, 2026, after putting the question to the studio. The gestures that build that bond are in our guide to the couple, and the August 27 footage in our entry on An Extended Look.
