GTA 6: who Cal Hampton is, and the Extended Look voiceover
Cal Hampton is one of the six supporting characters Rockstar Games gave a page to on May 6, 2025. Several outlets credit him with the voiceover closing the 26 minutes and 48 seconds of An Extended Look.

Cal Hampton is a supporting character in GTA 6, a friend of Jason Duval and an associate of Brian Heder. Rockstar Games opened his page on May 6, 2025, the day of the second trailer, and tied him to one region, Vice City. The whole page runs to five lines. Several outlets credit him with the voiceover closing the Extended Look.
Cal Hampton is a supporting character in Grand Theft Auto VI, a friend of Jason Duval and an associate of Brian Heder. Rockstar Games opened his page on rockstargames.com/VI on May 6, 2025, the day of the second trailer, and tied him to one region: Vice City.
His whole page runs to five lines. The tagline first:
What if everything on the internet was true?
Then the biography, the only one of the five that describes a day in his life:
Jason’s friend and a fellow associate of Brian’s, Cal feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers and some private browser tabs open.
The two lines Rockstar puts in his mouth run to a sentence each. “There are way too many birds flying around in perfect formation.” And: “The psychopaths are in charge. Get used to it.”

The fifth line places him against Jason: “Cal is at the low tide of America and happy there. Casual paranoia loves company, but his friend Jason has bigger plans.” Cal is the one who stays.
It is his voice that several outlets recognised over the montage closing “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look”, released on August 27, 2026. Fishing boat, recording studio, a dive bar counter, a chihuahua in a purple tutu, and this on top, as transcribed by NME:
Might not feel like it, but these are your glory days, the salad years, you know. Nothing is gonna beat who you are now. You can’t see all the fucked up shit that’s looming on the horizon. Enjoy this, dude. If this right now was all that there is, all the time, it would be perfect. Trust me.
“The salad years” is an old way of naming a youth you only recognise once it is behind you.

Rockstar has never named that voice. The attribution comes from the outlets who watched the video, and it rests on recognising a performer rather than reading a credit: there is no cast roll in the 26 minutes and 48 seconds of the presentation, and no character page on the official site carries one. No actor has been announced for Cal Hampton, or for any other character in GTA 6.
