GTA 6: everything Rockstar has said about Port Gellhorn

Port Gellhorn is one of the six Leonida destinations described by Rockstar Games. The studio published its official text on May 6, 2025, under the title 'Live Hard', and has added nothing to it since.

Port Gellhorn is one of six Leonida destinations Rockstar Games named on the “Only in Leonida” page, put online on May 6, 2025 with the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer and 70 screenshots in 4K. The studio gave the town a title, “Live Hard”, and a single paragraph. That paragraph is still the entire official record.

This is Leonida’s forgotten coast. Cheap motels, shut-down attractions, and empty strip malls won’t bring the tourists back, but there’s a new economy in this once-popular vacation spot. It’s fueled by malt liquor, painkillers, and truck stop energy drinks. Jump on a dirt bike and hold onto your wallet.

Two addresses come out of the May 2025 stills, both readable on the image itself and both listed by GamesRadar+ among the places seen in the district. One is the Starlet Motel, with its bulb-lit arrow and red “Vacancy” board. The other is the Delights Cabaret, whose letter board reads “New girls new food, open all night, hiring dancers”.

The new economy Rockstar writes about also gets shown. A cannabis grow room under horticultural lamps. A bag of blue pills handed through a car window, in a night-time garage. A cookout around a fire, with a cooler and corn on the grill. The five Port Gellhorn images in the press pack all stay inside the register of the official paragraph. The town’s Visit Leonida postcard goes wider. It takes in a water tower, a lit commuter train and a container port under factory chimneys at dusk.

What Rockstar has not said

Where Port Gellhorn sits inside the state of Leonida has never been established. Rockstar has published no map of the state, not on May 6, 2025, not with An Extended Look on August 27, 2026, and the studio never applies the word “county” to any of its six destinations. The Panama City comparison that runs through the correspondence lists, including GTA Intel’s of June 6, 2026, is a reading by journalists rather than a line from the studio.

The town came back on screen on August 27, 2026. Vice counted it among the places shown outside Vice City in An Extended Look, next to the Leonida Keys, Ambrosia, Mount Kalaga and Grassrivers. No timestamp has been published for those shots: SVG puts the Bayside district at 12:32 and the Effluvia rooftop bar at 9:50, and nothing comparable exists for Port Gellhorn. The scene by scene log is in our breakdown of An Extended Look. GTA 6 arrives November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
