Black Friday lands on November 27, 2026, eight days after GTA 6 launches. Last year Sony opened its deals a week early, with a PS5 Digital Edition bundle at $399.99, $200 under today's list price.

: Correction: the 2014 PS4 bundle was not the first console bundle built around a GTA game, Sony released a Grand Theft Auto V PS3 bundle on September 17, 2013.

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, eight days after GTA 6 launches. As of November 2, 2026, the prices to beat are Sony's list prices: $599.99 for the PS5 Digital Edition, $649.99 for the disc model and $899.99 for the PS5 Pro, which PlayStation Direct lists as unavailable. In 2025, Sony opened its deals on November 21, a week early, with a PS5 Digital Edition bundle at $399.99.

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving and eight days after Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. Cyber Monday follows on November 30. As of November 2, 2026, Sony has published neither dates nor deals for this year, so the numbers to beat are the list prices it set on April 2, 2026.

Console Sony list price Black Friday 2025 Amazon.com, October 30, 2026
PS5 Digital Edition 825GB $599.99 $399.99 Fortnite bundle, $100 off the console alone $569.05, sold by Amazon.com
PS5 disc console 1TB $649.99 $449.99 Fortnite bundle, $100 off the console alone $616.55, sold by Amazon.com
PS5 Pro 2TB $899.99 $100 off $1,644.99, one unit left

Amazon.com was already under list on October 30: $30.94 off the Digital Edition and $33.44 off the disc model, both sold and shipped by Amazon. Every deal spotted between now and November 30 goes into this table with its retailer, price and the day it was checked. The discount Amazon shows on every console, the game and accessories is checked each night on the Black Friday page. Picking the machine itself is covered in the PS5 or Xbox Series X comparison.

Black Friday 2025 as the benchmark

On November 18, 2025, Isabelle Tomatis, vice president of global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, announced deals on the PlayStation Blog “Starting from November 21 for a limited time.” Black Friday was November 28 that year, so Sony went live a full week early.

The two headline offers were Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundles: the PS5 Digital Edition 825GB at $399.99 and the 1TB disc console at $449.99, each with 1,000 V-Bucks. The same post promised “$100 USD on PS5 consoles and $100 USD on PS5 Digital Edition consoles” in select regions, $100 off the PS5 Pro and $20 off the PlayStation Portal.

That $399.99 bundle sits $200 below what the same Digital Edition lists for today. Rerun as is, a $100 cut would put the PS5 Pro at $799.99, and the same seven-day lead would open the sale on Friday, November 20, the day after the game launches. Those are projections from 2025 figures. Sony has announced nothing for 2026.

The PS5 Pro is the hard one

PlayStation Direct listed the PS5 Pro as “Currently Unavailable” on October 30, 2026. Amazon.com had a single unit the same day, at $1,644.99: $745 over list.

A Sony discount only matters on stock sold at $899.99, which is also the price that decides whether the PS5 Pro is worth it for GTA 6.

The 2013 and 2014 GTA V bundles

Sony had already released a Grand Theft Auto V console bundle a year before the 2014 Black Friday one: a 500GB PS3 with the game on Blu-ray, announced on the PlayStation Blog on June 11, 2013, which reached stores on September 17, 2013, the game’s launch day. Until November 2, 2026, this page wrongly called the PS4 bundle the only one.

Sony’s John Koller announced that PS4 bundle on November 14, 2014: a 500GB PS4 with Grand Theft Auto V for $399.99 in the US and Canada, in stores on November 28, ten days after the game. For GTA 6, the only new PS5 shown as of November 2, 2026 is a Japan-only Midnight Black Digital Edition without the game, and the GTA 6 PS5 bundle page tracks every announcement.
