GTA 6 trophies and achievements: what is already set
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19, 2026, and its Microsoft Store listing already carries the 'Xbox achievements' capability. Microsoft's certification rules and two dated Rockstar precedents say what the list will look like.

No GTA 6 trophy or achievement list had been published as of September 7, 2026, and the game launches on November 19, 2026. What is already fixed comes from Microsoft's certification rules: 10 to 100 achievements at launch for exactly 1,000 Gamerscore, none of them unlockable through a cheat code. On PlayStation, Grand Theft Auto V shipped 52 trophies on PS4, with a platinum estimated at 150 hours.
There is no GTA 6 trophy or achievement list as of September 7, 2026. The PlayStation product page does not mention trophies at all, Rockstar Games has published nothing on the subject, and the game ships on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Every list already circulating, on collector sites and paid unlock services alike, rests on nothing.
Achievements themselves are not in doubt, and their shape is already fixed. The Microsoft Store listing carries the “Xbox achievements” capability, checked on September 7, 2026 next to “Single player” and “Xbox cloud saves”. The Xbox Requirements, the certification document every console publisher signs up to, state it plainly in version 16.3 of July 1, 2026: “All games targeting Xbox consoles are required to have Achievements.”
The Xbox quotas are public
Requirement XR-055 puts numbers on all of it. At launch a title must ship between 10 and 100 achievements worth exactly 1,000 Gamerscore, and no single achievement may be worth more than 200.
| What XR-055 sets | At launch | Per half-year | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum achievements | 10 | 0 | 10 |
| Maximum achievements | 100 | 100 | 500 |
| Gamerscore | 1,000 | 1,000 | 5,000 |
The middle column prices the post-launch pass: up to 100 achievements and 1,000 Gamerscore per half-year, January to June and July to December, on top of the base list.
The same document rules out something GTA V players know well. XR-057 requires that achievements unlock through gameplay only, and names two excluded routes: a real-money purchase, and “In-game cheat codes, consoles, or menu options.” Rockstar has held that line since GTA IV. Per IGN, turning on a cheat in GTA V switches off achievements and trophies for the current session. Whatever GTA 6 cheat codes turn out to be, they will not open anything.
Two more rules are worth knowing before November 19. XR-060 freezes the list the moment it goes live: an achievement cannot be removed and its unlock rules cannot be changed, only its name, description and art. XR-062 caps those names at “PEGI 12, ESRB EVERYONE 10+, or lower” content, with no profanity, redacted or otherwise. On a game showing “PEGI 18 Provisional” on the Rockstar Store, the achievement names will be the tamest thing about it.
On PlayStation, two dated precedents
Sony publishes far less. Its support page lists the four grades, “Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze,” notes that “the number and grades of trophies, and the conditions for earning them, vary from game to game,” and stops there. Nothing comparable to the Xbox quotas is public.
The closest precedent is Grand Theft Auto V. The PS4 version carries 52 trophies, one platinum, two gold, three silver and 46 bronze, and Push Square reckoned on November 19, 2014 that the platinum took “a good 150 hours.” That is the shape of a Rockstar open world taken to 100 percent, not of a story finished once.

On timing, two dates beat guesswork. The Red Dead Redemption 2 list went public on October 11, 2018, fifteen days before the October 26 release. The Red Dead Redemption list on PS5 appeared on December 1, 2025, the day before launch. Mapped onto November 19, 2026, those two windows point to November 4 and November 18, with the November 12 preload sitting between them.
One difference works in the player’s favor. The Red Dead Redemption 2 platinum required Red Dead Online trophies, rank 50 among them, for a mode that only opened in beta in November 2018. Sony calls GTA 6 “a single-player experience”: at launch there is no online mode to hang a trophy on.
The count, the names, the conditions and the hours a platinum will take are all still unknown, and Rockstar Games has never announced a date for publishing this kind of list. This page will be replaced by the real list, checked and dated, the moment it goes live.
