GTA 6 Megamundo: the media tower from the Extended Look

Megamundo is the Spanish-language media group of GTA 6, which Game Informer reads as a take on Telemundo. Its first US headquarters, a Vice City tower, hosts the longest sequence of the Extended Look shown on August 27, 2026.

Megamundo is a fictional Spanish-language media company in GTA 6, which Game Informer calls the game's likely version of Miami-based network Telemundo. In the Extended Look of August 27, 2026, Jason and Lucia escort Andrés de León, a Megamundo executive, to the opening of the group's first US headquarters, a Vice City tower, at around 20:50. Armed men then storm the building, in the longest sequence of the video.

Megamundo is a Spanish-language media company made up for Grand Theft Auto VI. Its first American headquarters, a Vice City skyscraper, is the setting of the last mission shown in An Extended Look, the 26 minute 48 second video that aired on August 27, 2026. The game comes out November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The real-world model is not hard to spot. Game Informer, writing the same day, called Megamundo “likely GTA VI’s version of the real-world Miami-based network Telemundo.” On August 28, SVG filed it among the game’s satirical TV channels.

It is also the longest stretch of the video. Three outlets described it, and their accounts line up like this:

The client is Andrés de León. Game Informer calls him a “wealthy and enthusiastic mogul” in town for “the lavish opening” of the headquarters; SVG calls him a Megamundo executive. He slips upstairs for a “private business meeting.” When Jason goes up to fetch him for his speech, he finds him “doing lines with friends in a dark office away from the party,” in Engadget’s words. Andrés won’t come down.

Then gunmen take the building, “in a scene reminiscent of Die Hard,” per Game Informer. Jason and Lucia end up “separated by several floors” and fight it out apart, Lucia in Jason’s earpiece.

Petra Navarro and Valentina

SVG ties one more name to the company. On August 28, 2026 it listed “Petra Navarro, the COO of Megamundo” among its candidates for the game’s main villain. She sits with the rest of the video’s cast in the character guide.

The woman who hires the pair may come from another game. Lucia calls her “Val” at the airport; Andrés calls her “Tina” as he steps off his plane. Kotaku reported on August 28, 2026 that the GTA Wiki identifies her as Valentina, the coordinator from GTA Online’s 2025 Money Fronts update. That match comes from the wiki and from players, not from Rockstar.

What Megamundo does in the story is only described on wikis fed by the leaks, which GTA6 LIFE does not repeat. SVG wrote on August 28 that it was hard to say whether the tower would be “a prominent, recurring location throughout the game.”
