GTA 6 gets 39 new screenshots in Rockstar's launch gallery

Rockstar Games opened a launch gallery for Grand Theft Auto VI on its official site on November 5, 2026, with 39 new screenshots of the game. The announcement on the Newswire and on X opened with “Grand Theft Auto VI is now officially only two weeks away,” promised “a stunning look at Vice City and beyond” and signed off with “See you in Leonida on November 19.” The game hits PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on that release date, 14 days from now, and pre-loading opens on November 10.

The counts that went around that afternoon did not match: Vice said 38, Gematsu “nearly 40,” The Verge “dozens.” The page itself loads 39, each a 3840 by 2160 file named by Rockstar. Vice City gets 15, Jason Duval 9, Jason and Lucia together 7 and Lucia Caminos 4. The last four leave the city: two in Grassrivers, one in the Leonida Keys and one in Port Gellhorn.

The file numbers pick up where the official press kit stopped. Its Vice City set ended at 12, so the gallery starts at 13, and Jason Duval’s set runs from 11 to 19. None of the shots carries a caption, a mission name or a location. On August 31, 2026, four days after the Extended Look, Rockstar had already put 30 more stills in its media gallery.

GameSpot points to a nightclub, the gym where Jason works the bench, and a dive bar called The Rusty Anchor, its name lit above a stage where a band plays to a packed dance floor. Another shot shows a police operation at dusk: cruisers block a bridge, a boat marked “VICE-DALE POLICE” lights up a large yacht and a helicopter trains its spotlight on a canal-side villa.

IGN recognizes rapper Kodak Black in one of the Vice City shots: dreadlocks and a diamond pendant, seated on a club banquette between two women. According to IGN, the white cup in his hand bears the logo of the Jack of Hearts, the club run by Boobie Ike. Rockstar’s file, Vice_City_25, names no one.

Seven of Jason’s nine shots put a gun in his hand or the police on his tail. He rides through a shopping mall on a dirt bike alongside two other armed bikers, fires an assault rifle from the window of a bullet-riddled sedan under two helicopters, and pumps gas into a car with a smashed windshield as two officers close in. Lucia holds a weapon in all four of hers. The pair turn up in bandanas during a bank robbery, then armed in a convertible at night, the image Rockstar chose for its post on X.

Outside Vice City, the two Grassrivers images show a campfire where a man wears a snake across his shoulders, then three men on an airboat at night with a red-eyed alligator in the foreground. GameSpot reads it as an alligator hunt. The Leonida Keys shot goes underwater, with a diver and a lionfish, and Port Gellhorn’s opens on a cabaret.
