GTA 6 DualSense controllers cost $84.99, preorders open Sept 10

Sony revealed two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers on September 3, 2026, one black and one white, priced at $84.99 in the US and €84.99 in the euro zone. Both ship on November 19, 2026, the day the game launches, and preorders open on September 10 at 7am PT and 10am ET.

Sony describes a shimmering, color-shifting finish that pulls together the hues of a Vice City sunset and the glow of neon lights. The blog post also cites ‘custom palm tree details molded directly into the controller,’ set alongside the official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. The post is signed by Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The limited runs change nothing about what the pad does in the game. The standard DualSense, which ships with every PS5, already carries three of the four PS5 features Sony credits GTA 6 with using, from haptic feedback to adaptive triggers.

At $84.99, the controller costs $5 more than the game’s Standard Edition, listed at $79.99 on the PlayStation Store. The recommended price shifts by market.

Preorders open at the same moment across Europe, at 10am local time in the U.K., Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, with Portugal routed through playstation.com/store/hardware. Sony lists limited quantities, with no figure attached, and free launch-day delivery for eligible preorders placed directly through PlayStation.

Sony’s post does not say where the ‘VI’ mark sits. It was The Verge, which spotted the announcement on September 3, 2026, that placed the logo on the touchpad. The post names no console bundle, no matching headset, and no GTA VI version of the DualSense Edge. No such Xbox controller has been announced.
