GTA 6 screenshots: 30 more added, 99 in the gallery

Rockstar Games added screenshots to its Grand Theft Auto VI media page on August 31, 2026, four days after the Extended Look aired. Push Square and Pure Xbox each counted 30 new ones. Checked on September 2, 2026, the official gallery holds 99 images for the game, plus 51 shots of the Ultimate Edition benefits and 12 of the Vintage Vice City Pack.

The page itself dates nothing. It does not flag the new arrivals either, which is where the published counts start to drift apart. IGN wrote on August 31, 2026 that at least three of the 99 had never been seen, and that many of the rest were simply getting a high quality release.

Those batches do not add up: 29, 15 and 30 do not make 99, and Rockstar says nowhere which of them overlap. Only the page total holds, on the day it is read.

What hardware produced the stills is an inference, not a statement. Rockstar presented the Extended Look as captured entirely on a base PS5, and both outlets carry that origin over to the still images. Rockstar has never said so in writing for the stills. Sammy Barker at Push Square adds that many of them are likely touched up. Digital Foundry analysed the video itself on August 28, 2026, also captured on a stock PlayStation 5.

Several of the images were not discoveries either. Push Square put it plainly on August 31, 2026:

Some of these images were shared exclusively among influencers first, so it’s possible you may have seen these floating around on social media, like the iguana for example.

The batch covers a short list of subjects, per Pure Xbox: Jason, Lucia, the streets of Vice City, and the close-up iguana that both outlets picked out ahead of everything else. Among the three genuinely new stills, IGN identifies a recreation of Miami’s Two Tequesta Point, which players had already pinned as the model for the pair’s apartment.

So the count of 99 holds for September 2, 2026 and no further. Rockstar has announced neither the date nor the contents of the next drop.
