GTA 6 robberies: every target shown before launch, one by one

Six categories of targets show up in the press materials for Grand Theft Auto VI, from a roadside diner to a gang compound. Rob Nelson tells IGN on August 27, 2026 that robberies are a huge part of what players do between story missions.

GTA6 LIFE

Seventy-seven days before the November 19, 2026 launch, six categories of robbery targets are visible in the official press materials for Grand Theft Auto VI: convenience stores, a diner, a jewelry shop, an armored truck, a bank and a gang compound. Only the PTT Youngin$ Compound is named by Rockstar Games, through the Xbox listing of the Ultimate Edition, and it is exclusive to that edition. No loot figures, and no list of specific locations, have been published so far.

Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North, tells IGN on August 27, 2026:

“In one small vignette, we’re showing two robberies, which is a huge part of what you can and need to be doing in this game in between story missions.”

Rockstar Games has published no list of playable robbery targets. With seventy-seven days to go before the November 19, 2026 launch, this page tallies what is visible in the official press materials, target by target, with its source.

The target Where it was seen The source level

Small stores dominate the montage. “One of the robberies shown is of a convenience store,” ComicBook writes on August 27, 2026, and Rob Nelson is the one who calls these small jobs part of what the player does “between story missions.” Rockstar’s own press image jason-and-lucia-robbery shows the pair walking out of a Food Mart lot at dusk, bandanas up, pistols in their waistbands, an Xero gas station canopy behind them.

The one tier Rockstar names is Ultimate Edition only

The Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition Upgrade listing on the Microsoft Store, checked on September 3, 2026, reads:

“PTT YOUNGIN$ COMPOUND: Raid this gang compound and escape safely to score special items and distinct contraband.”

Raiding this Southside Vice City gang hideout is one of only two non-cosmetic entries in the Ultimate Edition, alongside the Classic Car Collection. No other specific robbery site appears in Rockstar Games’ official text as of September 3, 2026.

The result for the buyer is plain: the only robbery tier the publisher names is an edition exclusive, priced at 99.99 dollars. A player who picked up the Standard Edition at 79.99 dollars will find the targets shown in the video, but not this compound.

The bank job is a chase, and two outlets counted the stars differently

The seventh set piece of the Extended Look starts once the job is done. Lucia drives, Raul Bautista, presented by Rockstar as a career bank robber, calls the shots from the back seat and asks Lucia whether she is a professional. Jason climbs into the back and sprays police cars and helicopters with an assault rifle. The escape ends in Bayside, a neighborhood Lucia names out loud around the 12:32 mark. The first car is torched with a Molotov cocktail to burn any evidence, Game Informer writes on August 27, 2026, before Bautista pays his two accomplices on screen.

Two outlets watched the same shot and read it differently. Game Informer counts four stars out of six during the chase, Engadget says six. Nobody has published the still that would settle it.

On how the mode works, Rob Nelson is clear at IGN on August 27, 2026: bank robberies are playable “solo or with a partner” in the open world, and robbing a bank together feeds the couple’s relationship gauge, the same way exploring, playing pool or kayaking does. The catch is stated: Jason and Lucia’s romance is explicitly separate from the Criminal Profile.

The vault trade-off, then the mandatory trip to a fence

A robbery hinges on a single choice at the vault, IGN writes on August 27, 2026: blow the door with explosives, which is fast but damages the loot, or crack the combination, which pays more and gives the police time to arrive. IGN puts no number on the gap, and neither does anyone else: not the share of loot lost to the charge, not the seconds saved, not the stars incurred.

A bag of jewelry is not spendable either. It has to move through a fence, and fences are specialized by type of goods, per the list IGN gave and Vice ran on August 27, 2026: jewelry on one side, cars on the other. The car fence can also hand over the code to a police impound lot, and Dexerto adds the next day that these fences pass tips on future jobs. The one official sentence in which Rockstar Games used the verb “to fence” came on June 24, 2026, in the description of the Paradise Garage bonus tied to the Ultimate Edition; on the Microsoft Store listing checked on September 3, 2026, the mention of a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced has vanished from the marketing text, with no explanation from Rockstar. The full beat of a job sits in our heist guide, the money side in the dedicated one.

What Rockstar has not said

The five-tier list (small stores, mini-heists, jewelry shops, compounds, banks) that aggregators have been running since August 28, 2026 is a fan-site reading of a private hands-on demo by Australian creator TGG. No level-one or level-two source names that number or those five categories: the compound is still the only tier confirmed at level one. No loot figures have been published, per target or per fence. No specific location for a bank, a jewelry shop or a fence has been named by Rockstar. And whether a robbery counts against the story tiers that gate money-based progression is still open: Rockstar has said money must be raised at certain points, without naming the missions concerned.
