GTA 6 radio stations: two songs are official, 16 names are not
Rockstar Games has credited two songs for GTA 6, one per trailer. With 82 days to go before November 19, 2026, no station list, no licensed track count and no soundtrack release have been published.
GTA6 LIFE
Rockstar Games has credited exactly two songs for Grand Theft Auto VI: “Love Is A Long Road” by Tom Petty in the first trailer’s description, and “Hot Together” by the Pointer Sisters in the second’s. Everything else, from the 14 tracks logged in the August 27, 2026 Extended Look to the 16 station names circulating since August 18, comes from the press or from stolen video. This guide files each one where it belongs.
The two songs Rockstar has credited
The trailer posted on December 4, 2023 carries a credit block in its YouTube description: “Song: Love Is A Long Road / Artist: Tom Petty / Written by Thomas Earl Petty and Michael W. Campbell”, then the publishers and “Courtesy of Universal Music Enterprises”. The co-writer listed is Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers, and the song sits on “Full Moon Fever”, Petty’s 1989 solo debut.
It was not Petty’s first turn in the series: “Runnin’ Down a Dream”, from that same album, played on K-DST in GTA: San Andreas, as the New York Times noted on December 8, 2023, in a piece Rockstar declined to comment for. The paper quoted the critic Jill Krajewski: “Tom Petty isn’t just a heartland rock icon; he’s a Florida icon.”
Trailer 2, published on May 6, 2025, runs on “Hot Together”, a 1986 Pointer Sisters single credited in the official description as “Written by Sharon Robinson” and “Courtesy of RCA Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment”. Two songs, two credit blocks. That is the entire official soundtrack.
Heard in official video, credited nowhere
Three more tracks play under a driving sequence in that same trailer, identified by NME on May 6, 2025: “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” by Wang Chung, “Child Support” by Zenglen and 5 Etwal, and “Talkin’ To Myself Again” by Tammy Wynette. The Zenglen cut is konpa, the music of South Florida’s Haitian diaspora, and the only official hint of a Caribbean station. Rockstar credits none of them.
The Extended Look, streamed on Netflix at 3pm ET on August 27, 2026 and posted to Rockstar’s YouTube channel at 9pm ET, produced song logs that do not agree. Khel Now, TechnoSports and InMusic count 14 tracks. VICE published 13 on August 28 and leaves out “Inner Light” by Elderbrook and Bob Moses. None of the four flags the gap.

Logged by Khel Now and TechnoSports on August 28, 2026, from a demo captured on a base PlayStation 5. Nothing says they will be there on November 19.
One detail beats the list. “Against All Odds” is heard not in a car but in an elevator, noted by TechnoSports and called out live by Chris’ Klippel of Rockstar Mag’. No article ties any of the 14 tracks to a station named on screen, so the map from songs to frequencies is blank. The track by track read sits in the list of every song in the Extended Look.
What Rockstar has not published, and Vice City had
The studio has never given the station list for GTA 6, nor a number of stations, nor a genre, and no host has been named. Neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive has published a licensed track count. No score, no composer, no soundtrack release.

Vice City shipped with nine hours of music and 8,000 recorded lines of dialogue, four times what GTA III had. The one audio ambition on record comes from press previews, not from Rockstar: VICE reported on August 27, 2026 that the game holds “the largest collection of radio and television commercials in the franchise’s history”.
The 16 station names all come from stolen video
Since August 18, 2026, footage from an unfinished build has been posted one video a day. Kotaku logged 14 station names on August 24: Kaleidoscope FM, Worldwide FM, Cocoteo FM, Emotion 98.3, Radio ON-U, Symphony FM, V-Rock, Back Country Radio, Stockyard FM, Dirty South Classics, Circo Loco Records Radio, The Wipe, La Ola and The Chamber 106.6. Gulf News, a day earlier, listed two names Kotaku does not carry: Honey FM and an entry tagged DNU. The consolidated total is 16, a number neither outlet prints. Rockstar Games has validated none of it.
Two are Vice City reruns. V-Rock was Lazlow’s hard rock station in 2002, Emotion 98.3 was Fernando Martinez’s power ballads. Even the name is contested: Kotaku writes “Emotion 98.3”, with the 1986 frequency, Gulf News writes “Emotion” without.
Zack Zwiezen, who compiled the Kotaku list, sets the limit himself: “keep in mind that it’s possible some of these songs don’t make the cut by the time the game launches”. Gulf News is blunter: “This is footage from an unfinished build, so any of it can be cut. And Rockstar has confirmed none of it.” The 2026 material is at least current: “Sports Car” by Tate McRae, released in January 2025, dates the build, while Zwiezen reads the tracks in the September 2022 leak as “almost certainly placeholder songs”. Telling one from the other is the job of the guide to spotting a fake leak.
CircoLoco Records is a real label, Only Raw Records is a logo
CircoLoco Records is not an imprint invented for the game. Rockstar Games and the clubbing collective CircoLoco founded the label on May 24, 2021, around Seth Troxler, Kerri Chandler and The Blessed Madonna, with a first EP that June and the compilation “Monday Dreamin’” on July 9. Sam Houser framed it then: “Music is fundamental to Rockstar Games, it’s part of everything we do.” The name appears in the leak logs and in no Rockstar document. A station under it would be the first radio station in a game named after a label its own publisher co-founded, and the label’s history is in the CircoLoco Records entry.
Only Raw Records is the mirror case. One of Rockstar’s own press images shows two men at a mixing desk under an Only Raw Records logo, an audio session open on the monitor. The official record stops there. WikiGTAVI files an Only Raw Records station hosted by the character Dre’Quan Priest in its rumor tier, next to a Drake station and a DJ Khaled station, and treats V-Rock as the only name with on screen proof. A logo on a studio wall is not a frequency.
Drake, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled
One named source exists, and it is not Rockstar. Producer Jermaine Dupri said on the New Rory and Mal podcast in 2025: “They asked me to do Grand Theft Auto, and they were saying like Drake got his own radio station on Grand Theft Auto.” Screen Rant documented the remarks on June 13, 2025, and VICE went back over them on June 4, 2026: “Rockstar Games has not confirmed whether or not the Drake radio plans are true”. The Kendrick Lamar station and the DJ Khaled hosting slot have no named source, and Gulf News files all three in its weakest reliability band.
What a GTA trailer does to a song
After the December 2023 trailer, Spotify plays of “Love Is a Long Road” rose 36,979 percent in a week, according to Universal Music Publishing. May 6, 2025 was faster: Spotify measured a 182,000 percent jump for “Hot Together” in two hours, a number Rockstar passed to The Hollywood Reporter. A 1986 single back in rotation in one afternoon.
