GTA 6 planes: the aircraft and airports seen so far
Rockstar Games has published no aircraft list and no airport name for GTA 6. Here is every plane and helicopter you can actually point to in the trailers, the box art and the official screenshots.
Rockstar Games has never published an aircraft list or an airport name for GTA 6. Everything identified so far comes from the trailers, the box art and the press screenshots: a Sea Sparrow helicopter with a mounted minigun, a Dodo towing a banner, a blimp over the Keys, a seaplane, and a news chopper carrying tail number N8899Z. One road sign, reading VCI Airport, is the only airport reference. No official footage shows anyone at the controls.
Rockstar Games has never published an aircraft list for Grand Theft Auto VI. No catalogue, no count, no airport name: checked on September 7, 2026 across the product page, the editions page and the official screenshot gallery, 73 days out from the November 19, 2026 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Every aircraft anyone can name today was read off three trailers, one piece of box art and the press image batch.
The only aircraft Rockstar mentions in its own words belongs to a character’s past. On the Only in Leonida page, live since May 6, 2025, Brian Heder sums up his smuggling career in a single line: “I hauled so much grass in that plane, I could make the state of Leonida levitate.” The plane is neither shown nor named anywhere else on the site.

Only one of those carries a model name, and it came from the press rather than from Rockstar. In their box art breakdown published by IGN on June 19, 2026, Matt Purslow and Simon Cardy identify the helicopter in the top-left panel as a Sea Sparrow, the amphibious machine that first flew in Vice City back in 2002, here fitted with a minigun. The Dodo and the blimp come from the same kind of frame-by-frame work, done by IGN on the December 4, 2023 trailer.
One airport, one road sign
Trailer 1 puts eight destinations on its road signs, each logged by IGN: Kelly County, Catalan Boulevard, Stockyard Downtown, Port VC, the Keys, Vice Beaches, Waning Sands, and VCI Airport. That sign is the only airport reference in any official material. Rockstar has never spelled out the full name, and the location lists circulating online mix names read in the trailers with names taken from material that leaked, which this site does not treat as fact.
An airport does show up on screen, though. SVG, timestamping the August 27, 2026 Extended Look, puts the meeting between the pair and Andrés de León on a tarmac before the escort to the Megamundo tower: “We see Jason and Lucia meet Andrés at an airport and then, at around 20:50, escort him to the Megamundo headquarters building.” It goes unnamed, nothing ties it to the road sign, and its place on the map, region by region, is still unknown.
Nobody has been shown flying anything
In the Extended Look, helicopters are targets. Engadget describes Jason in the back seat of a speeding car during the Raul Bautista getaway, “taking out helicopters and cop cars” with an automatic rifle. The private plane in the closing scene is a boarding shot: Jason in a casual suit, Lucia in a black bob, and the footage ends there.
The one piece of aerial play in the 26 minutes and 48 seconds of footage is a jump. Lucia base jumps off a skyscraper, after which the camera climbs above Vice City and travels across the map. The ownership system Rob Nelson described to IGN on August 27, 2026, with its tiered car theft, its paid registration and its limited garage slots, covers ground vehicles only. Nothing about a flight school, a hangar to buy, or where an aircraft would be parked. As for the Sea Sparrow, it holds the spot a helicopter has held on every GTA cover since GTA 3 in 2001: cover art furniture, not an announced vehicle.
